Step Up for Ostomy

Today we would like to do a special feature on Step Up for Ostomy!
If you haven’t already heard, Step Up for Ostomy is a virtual event to celebrate World Ostomy Day. This event is created by the Ostomy Canada Society. And as many of you know, the Ostomy Canada Society has supported and provided valuable resources for Ostomy patients, and soon-to-be patients with the information they need to live their lives to the fullest!
What does that look like exactly?
Ostomy Canada provides the following:
- Access to chapters, satellites and peer support groups all over Canada
- Hosts a youth camp every year for kids aged 9-18 with an ostomy or related needs
- Administers extensive amounts of benefits and resources to help people with an ostomy
- And much more!
This year we are thankful for the opportunity to be a silver sponsor of Step Up for Ostomy, along with many other ostomy-related associations and organizations in Canada! We invite you to support this event in any way you can! Whether that be running, jumping, or just plain chilling to raise funds and create awareness for Ostomy Canada and your fellow ostomates.
